Nicole Herbert

Welcome.

I have been in the hair, health and beauty industry for over 25 years starting out as a massage therapist and then going to Cosmetology school where I learned Toni and Guy cutting methodology.

After working a few years at high end salons in the Boulder and Denver area, I was asked to work for Wella as a Color Educator and remained with them for about 10 years. I was also an educator for Sebastian, Nioxin and an in salon educator for Bumble and Bumble.

I have worked with and taken classes from the industries top artists such as The Doves, Nick Arrojo, Vivienne McKinder, Jayne Mathews, Bumble and Bumble, Stephen Moody, Aleksandar Blagojevic, Alexandra Matiz , Aubrey Loots, Anthony Cole, and Claudio Lazo.

In addition to having my own studio tucked away in North Boulder, I am an in salon educator and stylist at Olivet Salon in the Park Hill area of Denver.

My skills are diverse as I have extensive training in all things color and cutting (scissor skills, razor, curly, shags, texture). I like to work with the natural texture of the hair. Currently, I use Oway and Wella Color in Boulder and Daviness in Denver. I like to be as natural and synthetic fragrance free as possible as well as keep my stash of products proven to work regardless.

I attribute my creativity as a stylist to my early years in Kalamazoo, Michigan studying film and art as well as all my travels. I love post punk music as well as alternative 80’s, jazz, as well as indie bands and indie and foreign films.

I am a proud mom of my courageous daughter Mazzy with whom my Boulder salon is named after.
